Chinese New Year Members’ Gathering 2019
Traditionally, CRC had always organized their Chinese New Year gathering on the field. This year, as the club desires a comfortable environment for all members to enjoy with their families, the gathering was held in the form of a luncheon at the CRC Restaurant on 17th February 2019.
The event began at 12.15pm with a Lion Dance at the main entrance; a welcome greeting to all members. The president, Mr. Yeap Hock Kee and Mr. Loo Soon Chuan, a committee member then lighted a 4.8-metre long, fire cracker at the front gate of the Heritage Building. All members of the general committee were then ushered from the Heritage Building into the restaurant by the Lion Dance and Laughing Buddha troupe to kick start the event.
The serving of the luncheon was accompanied by a thundering drum performance, followed by the opening speech delivered by Mr Yeap. Members of the General Committee then officiated the luncheon by popping crackers and performing the Lou Sang. The live band then took over the afternoon before a special appearance by the God of Prosperity. A total of 20 lucky draw hampers were given to 20 lucky winners that afternoon.
金猪报喜新春大团拜
今年的新年庆祝活动与往年略有不同，往年庆典都在本会大草场举行，而今年，本会为了让会员们可以与家人朋友们舒舒服服的享用午餐，所以更改了庆祝活动的方式。今年，本会于2019年2月17日在CRC餐厅举行了金猪报喜新春大团拜。
庆祝活动于当天下午12时15分开始，两头舞狮在CRC大门伴随着鼓声表演。随后，会长叶福祺先生及理事会成员吕孙川先生点燃爆竹。过后，两头舞狮及大头佛伴着理事会会员及成员们从CRC大门走到CRC餐厅。
在午餐开始之前，台前传来一阵阵宏亮的鼓声，这是一场精彩的战鼓表演啊！表演结束后，会长叶福祺先生受邀上台致辞。接着，会长及其他理事会成员们戳破气球作为庆典的开幕仪式接着与会员们一同捞生。接下来的节目有乐队表演以及财神爷。在活动结束前，我们送出了20份的幸运礼篮给幸运的会员们。
